Spiritual Diversity in Social Work – to educate social work and religion students at the University of Kansas concerning spiritual diversity, and the recognition of clients’ spirituality as a source of strength and resilience in response to adversity  (2008, 2009, 2010)

Metta Center for Nonviolence – Funds to help support the 2011 session of Metta Mentors, a program to equip young adults to be community leaders in nonviolent conflict resolution (2010, 2011)

Power U Center for Social Change - Operating funds for this organization that advocates for residents, in a multitude of ways, who live in a very disadvantaged section of Miami; and teaches them to advocate for themselves  (2009, 2010, 2011)

Cincinnati Zoo, Conservation and Research of Endangered Wildlife (CREW) – Challenge grant for noninvasive tracking of reproductive hormones in polar bears, as a component of increasing the breeding success of polar bears in zoos to enhance species survival (2009, 2010, 2011)
